KEPCO Nuclear Fuel celebrated its 1,000 safe transport - ‘Secure the safety of the public without any transport accidents!’

 KEPCO Nuclear Fuel (CEO Jenog Sang-bong) held a ceremony celebrating the 1,000 safe transport of nuclear fuel with employees and related authorities on the 24th.

 KEPCO Nuclear Fuel has been supplying all nuclear fuels used at the nuclear power plants in Korea, being the only supplier   specializing in the manufacturing and the designing of nuclear fuel in Korea. KEPCO Nuclear Fuel achieved a great record- ‘1,000 safe transports without an accident’ from when it undertook the transportation of nuclear fuel  in July 1989.

 In the ceremony, KEPCO Nuclear Fuel presented an appreciation plaque to related authorities contributing to the safe transport without accidents including the Korea Institute of Nuclear Nonproliferation and Control (KINAC), the Yuseong Police Station and Highway Patrol and encouraged the employees to endeavor for a stable fuel supply.

 CEO Jeong Sang-bong said, “We deeply appreciate your endeavors for the transport of nuclear fuel without any accidents for over 30 years. I would like to ask for your continuing endeavors for the stable production and supply of nuclear fuel and for the public and clients to use nuclear energy without any worries.”
