KEPCO Nuclear Fuel labor and management jointly declare key businesses for 2021

Acceleration of practical ESG transition for sustainable management

▣ KEPCO Nuclear Fuel (KEPCO NF) held the declaration ceremony for the company’s “2021 CEO’s Key Businesses” on June 28 to concentrate on organizational competencies and accelerate the key businesses.

▣ KEPCO NF’s “2021 CEO’s Key Businesses” consist of five key business areas (▲ Transition to ESG management and organizational revitalization for sustainable growth, ▲ successful construction of a new global advanced factory, ▲ early lead in radioactive waste management business and technological development, ▲R&D to dramatically improve the safety and environmental characteristics of nuclear power plants, and ▲responsible management for the 「peace of mind of the public and employees」) that will maximize business concentration through consolidation of organizational competencies.

▣ The CEO’s Key Businesses were selected by gathering employees’ ideas, screening by the Citizen Participation Innovation Group, formed of KEPCO NF employees and the general public, and finalizing the selection by the CEO.

▣ KEPCO NF President Choi Ik-soo said, "We will re-recognize the importance of social responsibility as a public institution, establish an ESG management system, and focus our enterprise-wide competencies on key businesses for sustainable management where businesses and communities grow together.”

▣ The Integrity Agents, reorganized for better communication, attended the declaration ceremony and pledged to play a pivotal role in implementing the 2021 CEO’s Key Businesses. KEPCO NF’s Integrity Agent is a bottom-up integrity promotion group led by the company’s MZ generation and is a communication channel for KEPCO NF employees.
