KEPCO Nuclear Fuel (KNF, CEO Choi Ik-soo) was honored to win the Presidential Citation for the quality management at the 48th National Quality Management Convention held on November 23 in KINTEX.

 

Hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and Korean Agency for Technology and Standards and organized by Korean Standards Association, the National Quality Management Convention is an awards ceremony that honors companies for their contribution to the competitiveness improvement of national industry with excellent quality management activities in the industrial sites.

 

KNF was selected as the winner of Presidential Citation in recognition of its constant efforts for quality improvement through company-wide quality control activities and field-centered management as well as advancement of its unique KEPCO NF Innovative Production System (KIPS) for process improvement and systematic training system to produce quality nuclear fuels.

 

In addition, KNF has acquired and maintained a series of ISO certifications including ISO 9001 (quality management), ISO 14001 (environmental management), ISO 45001 (safety management), ISO 27001 (information security), and ISO 37001 (anti-bribery management) as a testament to its world-class management system in various aspects.

 

KNF CEO Choi Ik-soo commented, “I would like to thank all the members of KNF who worked hard for the company to maintain the world-class safety and quality of nuclear power fuel. Taking this as an opportunity, KNF will establish an efficient quality innovation system to further broaden its scope to the global market.”
