contribute to public welfare - The trend is towards requiring active corporate participation, particularly in the area where government support does not reach.
Introduction of Practice of Sharing
Recently, our society increasingly expects an enterprise to discharge its social responsibilities as a healthy 'corporate citizen' and to positively contribute to social progress. The trend is towards requiring active corporate participation, particularly in the area where government support does not reach.
From an enterprise point of view, the importance of social contribution has emerged as central factors affecting profit maximization and even long-term survival. Therefore, companies are urgently requested to improve their image as a contributor to society and to secure social trust. This is the right way to realize a truthful corporate image and at the same time to practice 'sharing management'.
In step with this changing environment, we conducted a companywide reorganization and systematization of our social contribution activities, implemented since the early days of the establishment of KEPCO NF as part of a campaign to help the disadvantaged, by creating a KEPCO NF Enertopia Volunteer Service Group on April, 2005, with great interest from management including the CEO.
In addition, we are committed to being a 'respected company' that promotes caring and trust among society through voluntary participation of the staff and by supporting local community development and contributing to society as a public company.
