 - Focus on enhancing technological competitiveness and technology protection for SMEs

KEPCO Nuclear Fuel (President Jung Chang-Jin) announced on the 21st that it has achieved the highest “Excellent” rating in the “2024 Public Institution Win-Win Growth Evaluation” for four consecutive years.

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Commission for Corporate Partnership conduct an annual 'Public Institution Win-Win Growth Evaluation' to encourage public institutions to play a leading role in promoting win-win growth and mutual cooperation with domestic SMEs. The evaluation combines public institutions' win-win growth performance with satisfaction survey results from partner SMEs, categorizing outcomes into five grades (Excellent, Good, Fair, Average, Needs Improvement) since 2020.

Among the 134 public institutions evaluated (32 public enterprise type, 102 quasi-governmental and other types), KEPCO NF belongs to the quasi-governmental and other types and achieved the remarkable accomplishment of earning the highest “Excellent” rating for four consecutive years in 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024.

Under the CEO's strong commitment that win-win growth and mutual cooperation with SMEs are essential for the sustainable development of public institutions, KEPCO NF has established the win-win growth vision of “Growing Together Nuclear Ecosystem, Future Energy Together” and has faithfully fulfilled its social responsibilities as a public institution by strengthening continuous partnerships with partner SMEs and promoting various win-win growth initiatives for coexistence with local communities.

Key initiatives in 2024 included systematic business implementation and efforts to expand communication channels, such as enhancing technological competitiveness and technology protection to strengthen SME competitiveness, supporting productivity improvement and market development, sharing performance and cooperative benefits to strengthen win-win cooperation partnerships, providing management stabilization support, and conducting working-level meetings with partner companies.

KEPCO NF President Jung Chang-Jin stated, “This is the result of consistently promoting effective win-win growth and regional cooperation initiatives by thinking from the stakeholders' perspectives and carefully reviewing and reflecting customer requirements to fulfill our social responsibilities as a public institution. We will continue to do our best to make KEPCO NF a company that grows together with partner SMEs and local communities”.
