KEPCO Nuclear Fuel won prizes in two categories at the 『2019 International Business Awards』
- Gold Prize for CEO of the Year in the Energy Category, Bronze Prize in Business of the Year

 KEPCO Nuclear Fuel (CEO Jeong Sang-bong) announced that the company won the prizes in two categories, ‘CEO of the Year’ and ‘Business of the Year’, at the 2019 International Business Awards held in Wien, Austria on the 19th (local time).


 IBA (International Business Awards), in its 16th year, is a business convention assessing a wide range of business activities implemented by enterprises and organizations around the world. 4,000 works and reports were submitted from 74 countries this year and about 250 experts participated in the assessment.

 

 CEO Jeong Sang-bong strengthened publicity and efficiency by reestablishing long-term management strategies in the Energy Conversion Era and implemented a customized mutual prosperity strategy to fit the characteristics of the energy business. Furthermore, CEO Jeong was honored with the Gold Prize as ‘CEO of the Year’ as the Awards recognized his remarkable management achievements including the enhancement of competitiveness in the global nuclear fuel business, the formation of an organizational culture for a realizing work/ life balance, and the realization of social values by creating jobs.


 Moreover, KEPCO Nuclear Fuel won the ‘Bronze Prize’ in the ‘Business of the Year’ on the basis of its management achievements including zero radioactive drainage matters by developing new treatment technology, developing innovative new materials, strategic operation of organization to cope with the changes of the management environment, and the realization of public safety through safety management at nuclear facilities and the advancement of a disaster control system.
