CEO Jeong Sang-bong of KEPCO Nuclear Fuel declares 10 key tasks
- Seeks innovation in work through CEO leadership amid COVID-19

KEPCO Nuclear Fuel (CEO Jeong Sang-bong) declared 10 CEO tasks for next year to overcome the COVID-19 crisis and announced on June 26 that the company would pursue work swiftly.

The tasks use an open idea gathering method to harness collective intelligence within the organization, and the CEO chose them after receiving feedback from the Citizen Participation Innovation Group. A total of 59.3 billion won will be earmarked within the year.

Under the 4 directions of "delivering social value," "satisfying customers through management innovation," "discovering sustainable business," and "developing future-oriented technology," KEPCO Nuclear Fuel’s 10 tasks include: ▲ achieving Grade 1 in integrity; ▲ joining in efforts to overcome the COVID-19 crisis; ▲ reinforcing the safety management system; ▲ establishing the smart factory; ▲ successfully constructing a new plant; ▲ commercializing the original nuclear fuel and supporting the commercial operation of nuclear power plants in the UAE; ▲ seeking innovative growth projects; ▲ actively developing export projects; ▲ developing commercial technologies for localized advanced materials; and ▲ developing accident-tolerant fuel.

“We will check the progress of major work delayed due to COVID-19, consolidate all of our capabilities, and finalize the tasks within the year. We will do our best to fulfill our obligations as a public institution to overcome the COVID-19 crisis and provide our full support to contribute to the local community,” CEO Jeong Sang-bong said.
