KNF extends recognition range as a national certified testing institute from KOLAS.

- Additional acquisition in Nuclear-fuel Spring quality test field after KNF was certified as a national authorization testing institute in the Nuclear-fuel Pressure Drop test field in 2013.

- KNF is looking forward to the advancement of capability in Nuclear-fuel testing technology and quality assurance.

On October 11,  KEPCO NF (CEO, Jae-hee Lee) announced that the company has authorized as a national authorization testing institute in Nuclear-fuel Spring quality test field from KOLAS(Korea Laboratory Accreditation Scheme).

KEPCO NF(KNF) has made a persistent effort to satisfy strict standard of nuclear power industry and also to enhance objective technology evaluation capability.

After KNF was certified as an international authorization testing institute in the Nuclear-fuel Pressure Drop test field in 2013, this year, KNF got successful business results as being a national authorization testing laboratory in a Nuclear-fuel Spring  quality test field.

Nuclear-fuel Spring quality is essentially needed a detailed test, because it’s one of the most important variables for secure operation of Nuclear Power Plants.

KNF applied its own testing standard which enhance reliability of test and the effectiveness is acknowledged.

As a result, KNF got public confidence on a count of examination results of Nuclear-fuel Design.

The CEO, Jae-hee Lee said “Ultimately, KNF’s development of original technology and achievement in the field of quality have been leading to safety of Nuclear Power Plants.

Lee added, “For many years to come, KNF is going to keep trying to develop advanced technology to be a trusted company by customers and the people.”

On the other hand, since KNF was acknowledged as a certified international correctional institute in 2001, KNF have been conducting over 200 cases of request from an outside.

Besides, KNF’s high-quality capability and professionalism are being acknowledged as a company that specializes in Nuclear-power on the basis of precision measurement capacity.
