KEPCO NF receives National Quality Innovation Award

The company is certified as National Excellent Quality Competitiveness Enterprises for 13 consecutive years

KEPCO NF (Acting CEO Park Chul-joo) said on November 28 that the presidential National Quality Innovation Award was presented to the company at the 39th National Quality Management Convention held in Hanbit-Hall of KEPCO, Korea.

The convention was organized by Korea Standards Association under the auspice of Agency for Technology and Standards, MOTIE (The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy). The award KEPCO NF gained is a presidential award for the recognized company or organization to acknowledge its advances in quality improvement. It is not a surprise to hear the news that the company became the winner for National Quality Innovation Award at the convention, given KEPCO NF has been strictly managing the facility and kept improving working processes while building training system as well to produce high quality nuclear fuel all through its own management system called KIPS (KNF Innovative Production System).

Since 2001, KEPCO NF has actively participated in Excellent Quality Competitiveness Enterprise Selection which was conducted by MOTIE to promote enhancing national competitiveness and improving industrial structure. Now the company shows outstanding achievements in management equipped with the quality management system and techniques. This led KEPCO NF to be inducted into the hall of fame in 2012 and also chosen as a National Excellent Quality Competitiveness Enterprise for 13 consecutive years.
