President & CEO Kim Ki-Hak wins Iron Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit

President & CEO Kim Ki-Hak was awarded the Iron Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit


Kim has served at electric energy sector of KEPCO and KEPCO NF for the last 40 years. His work of stable electricity supply through its quality management was acknowledged and as a result the honor of the Iron Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit went to him on Nov. 21 at the 38th National Quality Management Convention hosted by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, held in COEX, Samsung-dong, Seoul.

  
President Kim pursued to deploy advanced management system to globalize the business and stressed safety and reliability of its products through a quality-first management. He played a decisive role in completion of HIPER fuel and reactor core code design development. Kim was also recognized in overseas projects as the company succeeded to supply cladding tubes to the U.S. and export the tube manufacturing equipment and fuel service technology to international markets.

 
More importantly, President Kim has dedicated this year to achieve the goal of ‘Global Top 3 Fuel Cycle Company’ by enhancing production capacity for the new domestic power plants and increased international supply. To meet the needs he has planned to construct the plant 3 for PWR fuel fabrication and the 2nd tube plant, and localization of U-tube production as well. Kim is known to receive presidential citation and certification for excellent labor-management culture as he is eager to make pleasant work environment through communication and consideration. Last month, the company was certified as Excellent Quality Competitive Enterprise for 12 consecutive years and inducted into the Hall of Fame.
