KEPCO NF (CEO Jeong Sang-bong) announced that KEPCO NF acquired a rating of S in the PSM (Process Safety Management) implementation assessment by the Ministry of Employment and Labor in last January on February 27th.

The NSA Plant, starting commercial operation in 2017, participated in the implementation assessment for the first time and verified its superior safety management capability by acquiring a rating of S in its first assessment.

The PSM implementation assessment is the most prestigious assessment system certified by the government in the safety management field in Korea, as the safety management system is to prevent the serious industrial accidents at industrial sites with hazardous facilities. The PSM assessment classifies the rating depending on the assessment elements, including process safety data, process risk, safety operation guideline, and emergency reaction plan.

KEPCO NF CEO Jeong Sang-bong said, “we made the great achievement by systematically implementing the 12 elements of PSM, including regular training for improving emergency reaction ability and putting a priority on field safety management.” Furthermore, he emphasized the ‘continuing implementation of the systematic process of safety management’.
