KNF Held the Opening Ceremony of the Gyeongju Branch Office

KEPCO NF (CEO Jeong Sang-bong) announced that the KEPCO NF Gyeongju Branch Office started official operations after the opening ceremony on March 26.

The opening ceremony was held with participants from the relevant nuclear power organizations, including the Korea Electric Power Corporation, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, KEPCO KDN, and the Korea Radioactive Waste Agency, as well as the Director of Employment and Economy, Yi Byeong-won, of the Gyeongju Municipal Government and strengthened the will for communication and cooperation with the local community.

KEPCO NF will systematically implement the relevant activities by establishing a branch office in Gyeongju, where the Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power and Korea Radioactive Waste Agency is located and contribute to a win-win situation with Gyeongju. KEPCO NF Gyeongju is the second branch office worldwide, following the global branch office in Abu Dhabi, which was established in 2015.

KEPCO NF CEO Jeong Sang-bong said, “KEPCO NF will play the significant roles for stabilizing the operation of nuclear power plants through close technical cooperation with the Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power and provide relevant service support through the Gyeongju Office and contribute to the development of the local community and the safety of Gyeongju citizens as a member of Gyeongju”.
