KEPCO Nuclear Fuel is selected as a good enterprise in quality competitiveness- the 19th successive year

[Caption] KEPCO Nuclear Fuel was selected as a good enterprise in quality competitiveness at the 45th Korea Quality Management Convention on the 13th -the 19th successive year.

 KEPCO Nuclear Fuel (CEO Jeong Sang-bong) announced that it was selected as the ‘Good Enterprise in Quality Competitiveness’ for the 19th successive year at the 45th Korea Quality Management Convention hosted by Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy the and Korean Agency for Technology and Standards and organized by Korea Standards Association on the 13th.

 KEPCO Nuclear Fuel was honored by being selected as a good enterprise in quality competitiveness for the 19th successive year, from 2001. The enhancement of the enterprise-wide quality capability through the field-focused management and innovative achievement by KIPS (KEPCO NF Innovative Production System), the unique production innovation system, were highly recognized.

 In particular, KEPCO Nuclear Fuel has been implementing the enterprise-wide quality control activities by acquiring ISO9001:2014, the international quality certificate, in 2018. Furthermore, KEPCO Nuclear Fuel was qualified as an international calibration laboratory by implementing the calibration quality system applying the Framework Act on National Standards and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.

 Furthermore, KEPCO Nuclear Fuel secured the world-class management system in various fields including ISO41001:2015 for health and safety,  K-OHSMS 18001 and ISO27001, the international standards for information security management.

 In addition, KEPCO Nuclear Fuel monitors the defective ratio through process inspections, remedy plans and quality status updates per supplier,  organizing the quality assurance council with its partners and devotes itself to the implementation of cooperative relationships imparting a virtuous cycle by holding the ‘Meeting with CEO of Good Quality Enterprise’ every year.

 Meanwhile, the Bulging Head Team of KEPCO Nuclear Fuel won the Gold Prize, the Presidential Award in the Sustainability Management category with the theme ‘Improvement of the facility management efficiency by sustainable management activity’ in the Quality Team Contest.

 CEO Jeong Sang-bong said, ‘The prize is the fruit of our endeavors as all employees and officers participate in the quality management innovation for producing the world-best nuclear fuel.
