KNFC(Korea Nuclear Fuel Co., Ltd.) had received the letter to accept KNFC's application for join in 'UN Global Compact' from United National in September.

UN asked KNFC in the letter "to internalize the ten principles within KNFC's strategies, policies and operations and undertake projects to advance the broader development goals of the United Nations through this join in UN Global Compact". And UN requested KNFC "to submit annually a Communication on Progress(COP) that describes KNFC's efforts to implement the ten principles".

"To be accordance with trust and legitimacy is necessary condition for an enterprise to grow sustainably" and "I expect that the join in the compact will help for KNFC in raising good image and external trust for our company which stands in tiptoe as a leading company in world nuclear business." KNFC's CEO, Yoon Meng-hyun said.

UN Global Compact is aimed at boosting the practice of social responsibility, which is the international agreement United National offered ten principles driven from human right, labour, environment and anti-corruption in 2000. And now over 4,500 organizations from 116 countries around the world had joined this compact. In Korea, eighty one organizations had joined the Compact and KNFC is the sixty-fifth Korean member of the compact.
